They may arrange for you to go to hospital or to be seen at the Community Assessment Centre.
Government advice is to cancel routine appointments for diabetes, asthma, COPD, Blood Pressure, Cervical Smears, and all other routine GP and Nurse appointments.
We will still carry out clinically necessary and important blood tests including "NPT blood testing" for patients on methotrexate, sulfasalazine and other immune suppressing drugs.
From Monday, our front doors will be locked and you will only be seen with an appointment. If you are unwell, please refer to the information on NHS inform website. If you feel you need to be seen, or need advice please call our reception desk. You will be asked about your symptoms and may receive a call back from a nurse, doctor, or pharmacist. An appointment will be arranged if clinically required.
If we need to see you and you are unwell with cough, fever, or other symptoms compatible with coronavirus you will be seen under controlled conditions. You will need to wear a mask, and the clinician will be wearing protective equipment.
When ordering prescriptions PLEASE nominate a pharmacy to collect your prescription from as you will no longer be able to collect prescriptions at our premises.
The government are planning to relax the rules regarding "panel lines" or medical certificates for employers. In the meantime, we will post these out to you.
